Andover received it's name from a popular "Train Myth" in which a train tipped over into a swamp and the bystander who witnessed the even stated the train went, "over and over." Thus giving Andover it's name!
While Andover prides itself with it's quiet, country living the city continues to grow, with a population of over 30,000. The city has many convenient shopping and entertainment locations: Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Festival, Cub Foods, Caribou Coffee, Andover Cinema, Bowling Alley, and the Community Center to name a few.
On average, 50 new homes are built in Andover every year with lots ranging in different sizes and price ranges. Over the past few years a number of these lots have been purchased by different Builders, many of which offer more customizable builds. This allows for a variety of architectural styles.
Majority of the population that live in Andover will attend the Anoka Hennepin School District 11 Schools. If you live in the northern part of Andover you may attend the Saint Francis School District 15 Schools.

Andover holds an annual Andover Family Fun Fest in the summer to help celebrate the Fourth of July. This annual event offers Fireworks, Street Dance, a 5K Fun Run, Craft Show, Car Show, Parade, and so much more!
